We are happy to announce the newest member of the Keeping Children Safe network: SECHILD.
SECHILD, The Sedoo Initiative for Children with Special Needs, is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2011 with a commitment to improving the lives of children with special needs and individuals with disabilities in Nigeria. What started as a response to a personal journey of seeking support for children with brain injury has evolved into a comprehensive initiative.
Joining forces for child safeguarding
SECHILD’s decision to join the KCS network is driven by a commitment to learning and gaining a deeper understanding of child safeguarding. Recognising that children deserve the right to life, care and protection, SECHILD is determined to ensure the safety of every child in contact with its activities and staff.
A vision for the future
In the coming year, SECHILD aspires to be a reference point and a leading safeguarding advisor, setting high standards for child safeguarding. They envision a future where their organisation plays a pivotal role in keeping children safe from all forms of abuse and exploitation. Child safeguarding is not just a professional duty for SECHILD; it’s a corporate and individual responsibility that extends beyond the workplace.
Together with KCS, SECHILD embarks on a journey to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children. Welcome, SECHILD! Together, let’s champion the cause of child safeguarding and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for every child.
