We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to The Safe Space Foundation, an anti-sexual violence organisation from Ghana, as the newest member of the Keeping Children Safe global network. Since 2017, The Safe Space Foundation has been at the forefront of efforts to educate, empower, counsel and protect women and children, creating a society where sexual harassment is condemned and the right to say no is respected.
The Safe Space Foundation is dedicated to being a voice for the voiceless and vulnerable in society. Their mission is to prevent sexual violence, aid survivors of sexual abuse, empower victims and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice. They are committed to creating safe and nurturing environments where every child can thrive free from harm and exploitation.
In the coming year, they envision being at the forefront of child safeguarding advocacy in Ghana, evolving and improving their programmes and procedures to tackle emerging challenges and educate communities and school institutions on best practices. Together with KCS, they aim to make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of children, ensuring that they grow up in environments that nurture their wellbeing and protect their rights.
