We are proud to announce that Hogar María Luisa has joined the Keeping Children Safe (KCS) network, reinforcing their dedication to safeguarding vulnerable children in Argentina. With a legacy of over 143 years, Hogar María Luisa serves children who have experienced abandonment, abuse and violence, providing them with a safe, supportive environment that prioritises their recovery and growth.
Hogar María Luisa, based in Buenos Aires, provides comprehensive care, prioritising sibling groups to ensure that children can remain together. Each year, the organisation shelters approximately 30 children between the ages of 4 and 10, offering them a stable home, nutritious meals, healthcare, education and specialised technical support.
With an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System, the organisation has embedded process-driven practices and continuous improvement and is now committing to adhering to KCS’ rigorous safeguarding standards and training staff and volunteers to reduce risks and uphold safe environments. Hogar María Luisa intends to develop an advanced, comprehensive child safeguarding policy and obtain formal certification from KCS to reinforce their commitment to the wellbeing of every child in their care.
We warmly welcome Hogar María Luisa to the KCS network and look forward to working together to ensure safe, nurturing environments for children in Argentina and beyond.
