The American School in Japan reaffirms its commitment to Child Safeguarding

In 2024, The American School in Japan (ASIJ) renewed its Level 2 certification with KCS, reaffirming their commitment to the highest standards of child safeguarding.

ASIJ, a non-profit international school in Tokyo, has been providing world-class education for over 100 years – with a holistic approach to education, actively involving students’ families in the development process. The school fosters a diverse and inclusive community, with students from over 50 countries.

During the assessment process to renew their Level 2 certification, our representative conducted interviews with more than 40 staff members on-site. This process ensures that the school’s policies and practices align with international standards for protecting children’s wellbeing.

Their decision to renew this certification demonstrates how they value safeguarding and the positive impact of our partnership. We continue to work together for the wellbeing of children and their right to a safe, inclusive, learning environment.
