At The Dihya Foundation – an organisation set to focus on the health of women – child safeguarding is at the core.
Through their educational initiatives, such as sex education in schools and the distribution of reproductive health booklets, they equip children and teenagers with age-appropriate knowledge to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. They also provide resources and safe spaces for children to voice their concerns and seek support when needed.
We want to highlight their work this month, because they are creating safe, nurturing and empowering environments for all children, particularly girls, and through child safeguarding policies they can ensure that every child they work with is protected from harm, abuse and exploitation.
To stay informed, The Dihya Foundation team undergoes regular training. Plus, they work closely with schools, communities, and parents to foster a collective responsibility to uphold the safety and dignity of every child they serve.
The Dihya Foundation provides an excellent example of how implementing Child Safeguarding practices can improve the lives of children. This serves as an inspiring example for other organisations to follow.
